TRANSPORTATION

Onion Creek School is committed to operating the safest transportation system possible through good bus maintenance, continuous driver training and high expectations for appropriate student behavior.

Onion Creek School provides transportation to our students attending K-8th grade. We also provide transportation for the high school students in our area to Colville.

We have three buses and two vans. All of our transportation vehicles are equipped with two types of communication. One is a CB radio (channel 14), and the other is a two-way radio so we can keep in contact with the office and each other if needed. In our area we routinely come across logging trucks and other large vehicles.

Students should arrive at the bus stop five minutes before their bus is scheduled to arrive. Bus drivers are responsible for the safe conduct of students and are in full charge of buses. No child is allowed to get off the bus at other than his or her designated stop unless permission is given by school authorities acting upon a written/oral parental request. Routes and times may change during the year based on student enrollment and the winter months.
